As far as "Who needs cable TV anymore?" we just disconnected our cable TV service as we had the most basic set of channels for $22/month and we stopped watching TV when Netflix started streaming all sorts of great content for my kids. I only watch two shows (30 Rock and House) and I can catch those with an HD antenna for free, so it works for us. File organization was a big problem for me when I tried Boxee and XBMC. This is why I decided to rip all my DVDs and store them in iTunes. I got an AppleTV, which is great and sucky at the same time, and it streams everything we own. For people like us who upgraded from a 27" tube TV with no high technology in December, all this stuff makes us feel like we're living in the future. My biggest joy is not having all those stupid DVD cases in the living room for my wif--er, kids to destroy. Good call on copying that .inf file. Stupid XP Home.
